All wounded troops become prisoners as the battle ends. Wounded lords have a chance to escape the capture any after. It depends who gets them if in an army/multiple parties involved. If you’re trying to get people for your army those are companions, really useful npcs, for them you just need money, go to a tavern and press LAlt, they’ll pop up, talk to them and you can hire them, it’s one lump sum of a few hundred or maybe a grand or two.
